Grants for Felons Easier to Obtain with Volunteer Law Services

Grants for convicted felons can be found for a variety of needs. In today’s economy, many convicted felons are in need of services to help with expungement of criminal records. If you live in a major metropolitan area, there are attorneys who will work on a pro bono basis to assist in helping you with expunging a felony. While this service is not necessary for getting a grant for felons to go to college, it is a wise step if it is permitted in your state. When looking for free legal services, just go to Google and search for volunteer attorneys.

If you do not wish to expunge your felony, keep in mind that you can still apply for loans for felons and other types of grants and financial aid services to go to school. But, by retaining free legal services, using a volunteer law firm, you may find that your financial aid is far greater after your felony has been expunged.

  8. I have turned my life around and have joined a church and really want to stop waisting my time and start helping people. I have not been able to find a job in two years and have no way to find help. I really want to start a non profit shelter that helps people who have just got out of jail with shelter and food and teach them how to prepair for the rest of thier life clean. I need to get enough money to start up and then through public donations and charity events I can get clothes and food. What can I do to help these people who have nowhere to go. Many people get out of jail need a place to rest and stay clean while looking for work, Most often released inmates who would like to stay focused are forced through lack of resources of thier own to steal what they need, or even give up completely. The stress is very overwhelming and dangerous for them.
